Dr. Freddie N. Davis

dr freddie davisDr. Davis was born and grew up in Panola County and graduated salutatorian from Turner High School, Carthage, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Prairie View A & M University, 1964. Her nursing experiences include employment at University of Texas, Galveston, Riverside General Hospital, St. Elizabeth Hospital, Texas Southern University, and St. Luke’s Hospital.

Returning to school in 1973, she graduated from Meharry Medical College, School of Dentistry, 1977, receiving a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. She has had a private practice in the Settegast community for 30 years. Presently, she is a school nurse in the Houston Independent School District, while maintaining her private practice in dentistry.

Dr. Davis is an active member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church and maintains strong ties to Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Longbranch, Texas.

Some of her memberships include: the NAACP, Charles A. George Dental Society, Gulf State Dental Association, National Dental Association, National Black Nurses Association, Turner High School Alumni Association, Certified Parenting Skills Facilitator, and a past president and member of the Prairie View A & M Nurses Alumni.

She is the proud mother of one son, Lawrence C. Douglas, II. She enjoys traveling, reading, gardening, spending time with family and leisurely walking for exercise.
